Free to post. £9.89 a month to quote.
£2.98 a side when the job's done. The big exchanges want the better part of £2,000 up front, on a 12 month contract, before you move a thing.
Live numbers, straight from the database.
We're new. We won't pretend otherwise.
We built this because couriers and haulage firms are paying the better part of £2,000 a year, up front and locked into a 12 month contract, for the privilege of finding work. Then waiting 60 days to be paid, and getting nothing back for their loyalty.
We charge too, and we would rather say the number than bury it. £9.89 a month if you move loads, nothing at all if you post them, £2.98 a side when a job completes. That is the entire list. There is no contract and cancelling takes one tap.
Every number on this page is counted straight out of the database the moment you load it. If it says 14 loads, there are 14 loads. We would rather grow slowly with people who trust us than quickly with people who don't.
How it works
If you have a load
- 1. Post it. Under 90 seconds, free.
- 2. Take quotes, or set a book now price and let the first verified mover take it.
- 3. Pay on booking. We hold it until the POD is in.
If you move loads
- 1. Tell us what you run and where. Save your lanes.
- 2. Get alerted the moment a matching load lands, and see it before non members do.
- 3. Deliver, photograph the POD, get paid within days.
What it costs, worked through
Say you move 12 loads a month at £450 each. This is the mover's side, because posting is free.
A typical subscription exchange
HaulageBoard
On a £450 load you receive £447.02. We show that figure everywhere, before you commit to anything. The full breakdown is here.
Those exchange figures are the published owner driver prices of the two largest UK freight exchanges, checked in August 2026. Both sell 12 month packages only, billed up front, with a joining fee on top and VAT on all of it. Cheaper boards exist, from around £30 a month. We have not named anybody, and you should check the numbers yourself before you take our word for it.
Opening Crew
Everyone who joins in the first 90 days gets the Opening Crew badge, which is never available again, a 200 point Silver start with early access to new loads, and an invite to the founding members council. That is a monthly call where we ask what is broken and then go and fix it.

What does it cost to use HaulageBoard?
Posting is free, for good. Movers pay £9.89 a month to quote and take book now prices. When a load completes and money moves we take £2.98 from each side. No commission, no per mile skim, and no contract.
Why do movers pay a subscription and posters do not?
Because posters are the scarce side. A firm that ships eight loads a year is not paying a subscription for the privilege of handing work to the board, and without their loads there is nothing for anyone to quote on. Movers pay because finding work is their income, and £9.89 against one £450 load is not a hard sum.
How quickly do I get paid?
The poster pays on booking and we hold the money. You upload the POD at delivery. The poster confirms, or it releases automatically 24 hours later, and the payout goes out through Stripe. Most movers see the money within a couple of days of delivery instead of waiting 30, 60 or 90 days.
What is a backload?
A backload is a load that fills an empty run. A driver who has delivered away from base takes a load on the way home instead of running empty. Backloads are tagged on the board so you can filter straight to them.
Do I need to be verified?
You can browse and quote as soon as you sign up. Before you can be booked and paid you need to be verified, which means we check your goods in transit insurance and, where it applies, your operator licence. It takes about 3 minutes to upload.
Who can post a load?
Anyone with something to move. Shippers, manufacturers, brokers and hauliers subcontracting their own overflow or return legs. Posting takes under 90 seconds and is free.
