Why we built this
HaulageBoard is built in Leicester, and it comes out of running transport rather than out of a spreadsheet. The people who move things for a living are handing over the better part of £2,000 a year, up front and on a 12 month contract, just to find work. Then waiting two months to be paid for it.
So the model here is simple. Posting is free and stays free, because the firms with freight to move are the ones we most need on the board. Movers pay £9.89 a month, which is what one load covers forty times over. Both sides pay £2.98 when a load completes and money moves. Payment is held at booking and released on POD, so drivers are paid in days rather than months.
We are new. The board is smaller than the big exchanges and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can offer is honest numbers, faster money and a score that turns into real advantage rather than a badge.
What we will not do
- No fake loads and no inflated counters. The numbers on the site are database counts.
- No lock ins and no cancellation mazes. Export your PODs and invoices any time, in one click.
- No selling your contact details. Phone numbers cross over on booking and not before.
